How long does a window or door project take?

Project timelines vary depending on the size and complexity of the job, as well as product availability. Once ordered, standard windows may take approximately 3–5 weeks for delivery, while custom windows can often take 8–12 weeks. We recommend reaching out early to help with scheduling and lead times.

Do you handle the trim, siding, and finishing around the window or door too?

Yes. One of the benefits of working with Phinney Ridge Painting is that we’re more than just installers. Our in-house team can address trim, siding, and carpentry details around the opening, and we also provide prep, caulking, priming, and painting or clear coating as needed to fully finish the project.

Can you restore original wood windows instead of replacing them?

In many cases, yes. If your existing wood windows are good candidates for restoration, we may be able to repair damaged components, improve operation, address rot or glazing issues, and extend their lifespan—especially with original double-hung windows in older homes.

Do you work on older or historic homes?

Yes. We regularly work on older and historic homes throughout the Seattle area and understand the importance of preserving original architectural character. Our team can recommend solutions that improve function and efficiency while maintaining the style and integrity of your home.

Do you install new windows and doors, or do you also repair existing ones?

We do both. In addition to new installations and replacements, we also provide repair and restoration services for existing windows and doors—especially for older and historic homes where preserving original character is important.
